Mel Killian (Trance Killian)

Background

Trance Killian was dead. The former smuggler who had found her force sensitivity and made a stand against the ultimate evil of Sith-Master Cyrus, had become a symbol of hope when she had united the minds of all the people in the galaxy for a short time – and then she had burned out and died. All force sensitives in her vicinity had felt it, and even the medical team had found no life signs on her depleted body, so she had been declared dead.

But in reality an alien entity had recalled Trance into another world that was on the brink of collapse to find the last hope for humanity there. Trance’s apprentice Mia De’Ore who had also turned out to be force-sensitive was able to receive visions and witness some of Trance’s steps in this other world called Cyberia, leading her to believe that Trance couldn’t be as dead as the galaxy was made to believe. That turned out to be true, when General Shore of the New Republic Special Forces sent Mia on a secret mission to seek out and recover the lost spirit of Trance, since they had kept her body functional in a hidden facility.

So, Mia and her friends Noah Winter and Warawa set out on an odyssey across the galaxy – and beyond, because Cyberia did not exist in the same universe as their home galaxy. There, they encountered crazy cyber-beings, bloodthirsty mutants and the last surviving humans of a long dead world – and an avatar of Trance who was reborn in a new clone-body whenever her old body was substantially damaged. Together they made a stand against the dangers of this world and managed to save Cyberia at the last minute.

But when they returned home they realized that they had been gone for years. The story of Trance and the Protectors of the Galaxy had already become legend, so Trance decided that it should stay this way and changed her name back to her birthname: Melissa Killian, or short: Mel Killian. When Mel was finally reunited with her daughter Shanta she realized that the little girl had grown into a young woman fully capable of taking care of herself.

Since she has lost almost everything material when she had “died”, Mel now wants to make a fresh start and has signed on as a pilot aboard Mia’s freighter “Crimson Fury”. This way she hopes to return the favor and help Mia deal with her past.

Physical Description

Mel – aka. Trance – stands 1,76 meters tall with a slender build, except for her slightly above average bust size. After her body had been modified for an undercover mission as a pleasure slave, a large tattoo of a blue-scaled dragonserpent curled several times around her entire body from her left ankle all the way to her right shoulder. Only later she found out that it was permanent, contrary to what had been promised. Most of the other modifications have gone in the meantime, so that her hair has grown out the blue part and is now blonde again, and her facial tattoos have faded so they are almost unnoticeable now. During the time her body was suspended her earlobes which had been stretched to 4 cm size have retired to almost an inch. Mel usually wears a pair of metallic-blue triskelion-plugs, but she can also be seen wearing simple silver flesh tunnels or other pieces of jewelry in her earlobes. She also continues to wear a belly-button piercing with a blue gem, as well as her nipple rings. Rarely she sticks out her tongue to show her tongue-piercing. When she left her new-found family she also accepted their gift in form of a ring for her stretched septum. Although she had never been happy with a nose ring as it had always been a token of slavery for her and reminded her of her own time as a pleasure slave, but Shanta had correctly argued that it made her look sufficiently different so she could more easily avoid recognition.

Mel’s everyday clothes have remained largely the same as before, aiming for functionality and movement. Usually she wears  tight fitting pants in dark blue color and polished black leather boots. Quickdraw-holsters for her blaster pistols are strapped to her thighs and her belt contains a smart clip-reload-system for the power packs. In another pouch on her belt she carries her lightsaber. Her top varies depending on mood and weather, but oftentimes Mel wears a tank top or spaghetti top of varied, but usually darker colors, sometimes short enough to reveal her belly button piercing. For rough weather or colder climate she reverts to long sleeved tops and adds a trendy blue and white leather jacket.

Since Shanta had kept her mother’s spacer chest Mel can again choose from a variety of different outfits ranging from aforementioned working clothes, to casual wear, sexy disco outfits and even some expensive evening gowns, including fitting accessories.
