Star Wars Characters

(System: Star Wars d6 2nd Ed. Revised and Expanded)

Currently my favorite RPG-system and I played this system almost exclusively during the last few years. Some of the characters here are played frequently, with some taking roles as GMPC, while others are rarely played at all, due to me being GM most of the time.

Shanta Killian
Human, Jedi-Knight and Pilot.

After having been trained for several years by disembodied Jedi-Master Tryan Karr, Shanta, the daughter of galactic heroine Trance Killian, now is a fully trained Jedi-Knight and fights for peace in the galaxy as a member of the secret elite starfighter squadron "Starlight Squadron".
Liliana Killian
Human, Dancer, Cook and Jedi-Apprentice.

At first sight Liliana looks like she is Shanta's twin sister, but Shanta always was an only child. So why does the New Republic Intelligence make such an effort to let them appear as genuine twin sisters?
Contrary to Shanta Liliana seems a bit more naive, gullible and softer, but seems to have force powers at her command as well.
Mel Killian
Human, Pilot and Jedi-Knight.

Trance Killian was an attractive woman who had seen more of the galaxy - and beyond - than many will ever see in their whole lives. After she had sacrificed herself to save the galaxy and transcended the barrier between life and death she had been summoned into another world. Only with the help of her friends she was able to return and she decided that it would be best for the galaxy - and herself - if the symbol Trance Killian remained dead. So she changed her name once more and signed on as pilot on her best friend's ship.
Reena Arrowwind
Human,
New Republic Starfighter Pilot.

Reena was born as Reelana Arrowwind into a noble family on planet Lengnaar. She escaped from her gilded cage and joined the rebellion against the Empire, where she was able to put her innate ability to pilot starfighters to good use. Meanwhile she became commander of the infamous, but highly decorated "Wild Squadron", whose missions are almost exclusively labeled as "dangerous and impossible".
Rayn Dark
Human, Bounty Hunter.

Rayn grew up as a farmgirl on the peaceful backwater planet Aldivy, but her whole family was slaughtered by outlaws and the teenage girl was raped, lacerated and left to die in her burning house. She survived, scarred and vengeful. Trained by a friendly mercenary she swore revenge against her tormentors and hunts them down, as well as other men who have abused or mistreated women.

Rayn is another kind of character and very special for me. She is explicitly not pretty and seductive, but rather blunt and scary, in appearance and personality.
Jazva Apono
Mirialan, "Secretary" (Infiltrator and Assassin).

Jazva's first impression is usually that she's a "harmless" secretary within the corporate-like structure of the Dark Sun crime syndicate. In reality she's a trained assassin and completely loyal to the top management, who are the only ones inside the organization who know her real status. She is absolutely ruthless and kills without mercy.

This is my first "dark side" player character and she is fun to play, although the party interactions were quite limited once the other players found out hints of what her true designation was.
Iyak'hana
Twi'lek, Operative.

Hana had to witness her younger sister being taken away by slavers. That made her join the twi'lek freedom fighters led by Orn Fortuna on Ryloth.
Since the freedom fighters just started a shaky cooperation with the Dark Sun syndicate Hana was sent as "liaison" to their ops team to support their new allies as good as possible.
Coral May
Zeltron, Smuggler.

After Trance Killian had turned out as just the type of character I mostly wanted to play there were quite a few GMs who feared that more than 200 character points made her waaaay to powerful for their one-shots. For this reason I wanted to create a new, unbiased smuggler with a certain special appeal. At that time I was into the Legacy comic line and really liked the character Deliah Blue. So I created a young Zeltron smuggler who went on her first mission during the Clone Wars.

Since Old Republic is a rarely played era in our groups Coral also appears in many adventures that take place during the original movie trilogy (Ep. 4-6), when she is already in her forties.
Celia "Lia" May
Zeltron, Smuggler.

Why another Zeltron smuggler? Well, since I had signed up for a planned mini-campaign during the New Republic timeline with Coral before realizing that her first adventure would take place 30 years earlier (which would place her in her fifties now) I decided to take the same looks and skills and create Coral's daughter.

The funny thing was that another smuggler who regularly played with our group has had several short relationships over the years with this seemingly ageless, sexy Zeltron. Until he finally realized that he had been dating two different persons, mother and daughter.
Dr. Shi Ravak
Zabrak, Archaeologist (and Jedi-Knight).

Shi's father had been a member of a secret Jedi-order and had trained his daughter in the ways of the force until the age of 10. When the Jedi-purge of Emperor Palpatine began, her father sealed Shi's memories and force-powers away, so she was able to lead a normal life unchallenged by the Sith-agents. But her fascination for Jedi-Knights and their history remained and so she studied archaeology and Jedi-lore right under the noses of the empire. After having been promoted in her field of expertise, archaeology, she was hired by the New Republic as a scientific advisor for ancient civilisations. During a confrontation with a Sith-lord she was struck by his force lightning which broke the seal and reactivated her memory and force powers. Now she uses her knowledge, talents and powers for the light and the New Republic.
Tanii Sal
Twi'lek, Jedi-Padawan.

Tanii Sal is a young, serious padawan learner within the Jedi-order. During the Naboo-conflict she was on her first away mission and stumbled right into the droid invasion on Naboo.

This character was created specifically for an Old Republic one-shot and was played quite rarely since.
Gina
Human, Space Vagrant (Kid).

My very first Star Wars character, handed to me by my GM at the time to get me hooked for the system. Her background was derived from Anakin Skywalker in Episode 1: Gina grew up as a slave on Tatooine where she worked in a speeder-shop and repaired stuff. She was bought out by a nice spacer when he collected a debt from the shop owner, and left Tatooine in his spaceship. Since then she's a vagrant between the stars, trying to scrape enough money to buy out her older sister whom she had to leave behind as a slave.
Jayd Skye
Human (cloned), Clonetrooper-Commando.

During the creation of the clone army for the Republic on Kamino the scientists experimented with Jango Fett's DNA to create stronger soldiers for special purposes. Several batches were flawed and only few survived until adulthood. One of the survivors showed a remarkable shift in chromosomes, being female.
Out of scientific interest the female trooper was named Jayd Skye, a translation of her batch-designation into letters, and taken into the training program. Her results were great, even surpassing some of the best male clones. This led to a controversy among the scientists and so Jayd was placed in cryostasis.
20 years later her cryo-unit was stolen and someone accidentally initiated the automated revival procedure. A Jedi-apprentice found the trooper who is now fighting for the New Republic.

This character concept was inspired by ideas from the old Rancor Pit website.
Charyp'soma, the Buccaneer-Queen
Twi'lek, Crazy Pirate-Queen (formerly Holo-Diva).

Even though this character was actively played only once I made her holonovels about Charyp'soma the Buccaneer Queen canon in my playgroups by having some of my other characters be fans of the series.

This character was also inspired by an article from Rancor Pit.
