Background
Ta’niisal was born on planet Ryloth and since her family was rich in offspring, but low on money she shared the fate of many twi’lek girls: at the age of 5 years she was sold to a slaver so the family had something to eat for the next few months. But even then the force seemed to have guided her path, because the slaver got into an argument with a Jedi knight who had been doing some investigations. While trying to shoot the Jedi the gangster fell victim to his own reflected shots, and normally the Jedi would not have cared about the innards of the ship had he not sensed a presence in the force that radiated around the twi’lek girl. Convinced to have found a promising candidate for Jedi training he brought Tanii to the Jedi-temple on Coruscant, where the council approved that she was to be accepted and trained in the Jedi ways.
Physical Description
Tani Sal (or Ta’niisal in Ryl, her native language) is a 19-year old padawan learner of the Jedi order during the old republic. She has blue skin, turquoise eyes and stands 1,67m tall. As common with twi’lek she wears a simple, traditional headpiece and has wrapped her lekku with grey fabric. Contrary to some other twi’lek within the order she likes to dress in traditional brown-beige Jedi robes to conceal her alluring stature. Her lightsaber which she built herself during her training (which has taken much time and patience) has a purple blade. Normally this color would have been reserved for masters of certain lightsaber combat styles, but her master spoke in front of the council on her behalf, telling the masters that the force itself had led Tanii to this very crystal, so she could keep her unusual lightsaber.
